Meet the Team
Dawn Wright
I have worked as a member of the resident participation team for over five years now. I started as an assistant in the team and in May 2007 was promoted to Manager.
I am committed to involving residents and getting their views on how we can improve the service we provide. Your views count - who better is there to tell us how we can improve our services when they affect your home!
What I like most about the job is meeting all the wonderful and varied people that live in Blyth Valley and seeing first hand how the involvement of local people can make a real difference to communities.

Aileen Straker
I have worked for Blyth Valley Housing for over 5 years now and specifically in the resident participation team for 3 years. I really enjoy the job, especially working with different residents groups. It’s great when you see positive results within communities because of the involvement of local people.

Jennifer Rowell
I joined the team in December 2006 as a
Modern Apprentice; my role includes promoting, developing and increasing resident involvement across the borough with a key focus on encouraging young people to get involved.

Michael Adjei-Mensah
I have worked for Blyth Valley Housing for over four years, and have undertaken various roles. I have worked as a housing officer, and I was seconded for 7 months to Blyth Valley Borough Council as a Policy Officer. I started with the RPU team in May 2007. I really get a buzz when residents genuinely get involved and help us make a difference to their lives.

Julie Turner
I have been working for the Housing
Company for a few years now and I am very happy to say that I am now a permanent fixture in the Participation Team. I am enjoying working as part of a fantastic team, and am also enjoying the challenges of working on my own projects within the team. I think Participation is a very important structure within the Housing Company, as it makes it possible for Residents to have their voice heard and enables them to shape their own community. I feel honoured and privileged to be part of this team and I am very excited about our prospects for the future.
