End a Tenancy

If you are moving home and want to give up your tenancy we normally require at least four weeks notice.

If there are special reasons why you can't give us four weeks notice let us know as early as you can.

In certain circumstances we may be able to waive the requirement for you to give us four weeks notice. It will also help us to make early arrangements to re-let your home.

If you would like to give notice to end your council tenancy you can use this form.

Reward for Good Standards

Before you hand in your keys, make sure:

• your home is clean and in good decorative order 
• you haven't left any belongings, furnishings or rubbish
• your garden is tidy, well kept and free of rubbish
• there is no damage to the property, fixtures or fittings.
